Course Description: This training introduces Motivational Interviewing (MI), a collaborative approach to enhance clients' motivation for change. Participants will learn practical MI techniques like open-ended questions and reflective listening to foster trust, engage clients, and support goal achievement. Designed for human service professionals, this session emphasizes empathy and empowerment in creating sustainable, client-driven outcomes. This is an In-Person Training.  The snow backup date is February 18, 2026.

Intended Audience: Qualified Residential Treatment Program Staff (QRTP), Shelter Staff (Child Welfare Emergency Services), Supervised Apartment Living Staff (SAL), Direct Care/Front-Line Staff and Supervisors, Leaders and Management.
