“Equipping Professionals to Identify and Respond to Human Trafficking.” This interactive training equips child welfare professionals with the skills to recognize and respond to human trafficking involving vulnerable youth. Building on identification concepts, participants will focus on effective response strategies for children who are being groomed, actively trafficked, or recovering from victimization. The session includes case scenarios, group discussions, and audience participation activities. LOCATION INFO: Zoom TRAINERS: Teresa Davidson-Chains Interrupted is a Nurse Practitioner and pastor that fights against human trafficking as the co-founder and CEO of Chains Interrupted, a nonprofit that contends for the freedom of youth from human trafficking and exploitation.
Intended Audience: Family Centered Services (FCS) Staff; Qualified Residential Treatment Program Staff (QRTP), Shelter Staff (Child Welfare Emergency Services), Supervised Apartment Living Staff (SAL) Direct Care/Front-Line Staff and Supervisors The Training Room will open at 9:50 AM.
