Course Description:  More than 75% of children in the U.S. experience a traumatic event, making trauma-informed practice essential for child welfare professionals. This introductory course explains how trauma impacts brain development, behavior, and relationships. Participants will learn to recognize signs of trauma exposure, avoid re-traumatization, and apply strategies for engaging youth and families with sensitivity and care. By building this foundation, you’ll leave better equipped to support trauma-impacted children in your daily work.
