This course will identify the imp act of poverty and the long-term effect on children and families. Often, po verty is confounded as a form of child abuse and neglect. Iowa specific pov erty data will overlay with child maltreatment data to understand the impac t of poverty on family safety and well-being.

ector of Prevent Child Abuse Iowa. Prevent Child Abuse Iowa is a non-profit
organization serving the entire state of Iowa through support of child abu
se prevention effort. Prior to this position Greg spent over 10 years worki
ng various capacities in substance use disorder treatment and is a certifie
d alcohol and drug counselor. Greg Received his bachelor’s degree in Psycho
logy and his master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.<
