This training will discuss the bro ad spectrum of major contributors to a child’s behavior, what needs to be a ddressed first and what short/long term reasonable outcomes are. The lifes pan consequences of trauma on an individual/community and staff’s role as p rotectors and educators. They will also learn how to engage in and explore concrete processes to stabilize attachment, develop safe relationships and effective emotional management.
LOCATION INFO:Bettendorf Public LibraryRegistration will begin at 8:30 AM. Training will start promptly at 9: 00 AM. Lunch is on your own. This training is scheduled until 4:30pm.
Pl ease note: Priority seating is provided to staff working within one of the curerent DHS child welfare service contracts, including: Family Centered Se rvices (FCS); Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) / Group Foster Care; Child Welfare Emergency Services (CWES): Aftercare Services; Supervi sed Apartment Living (SAL); Recruitment, Retention, Training and Support Se rvices (RRTS); Parent Partners; Foster Care Youth Council. If you do not work within one of the current DHS child welfare services co ntract, you may be bumped from the course and placed on a wait list.
