Human trafficking is the business of stealing freedom from people for profit. In some cases, traffickers tri ck, defraud or physically force victims into selling sex or labor. Anyone c an be a victim of human trafficking, regardless of age, sex, race, gender, or class. In this 2 hour training, attendees will become familiar with the terminology, gain insight into vulnerable populations, learn how to avoid c ommon mistakes when working with survivors, and discover solutions. Learn h ow you can make a difference and be a part of someone’s story back to freed om just by being more aware!

Registration will begin at 8 :30am. Training will start promptly at 9am. This training is scheduled unti l 11am.
Please note: Priority seating is provided to staff working within one of the current DHS child welfare service contra cts, including: Family Centered Services (FCS); Qualified Residential Treat ment Program (QRTP) / Group Foster Care; Child Welfare Emergency Services ( CWES): Aftercare Services; Supervised Apartment Living (SAL); Recruitment, Retention, Training and Support Services (RRTS); Parent Partners; Foster Ca re Youth Council. If you do not work within one of the current DHS child welfare se rvices contract, you may be bumped from the course and placed on a wait lis t.
