Supervision is vital to the role of supporting the front-line child welfare workforce in order to ensure qualit y services to children, youth, and families. This course will provide tools and resources for those entering supervisory roles. Information will be sh ared to enhance staff development, including utilizing the role of supervis ion to support the front-line workforce while monitoring safe and successfu l case outcomes.
LOCATION INFO: Zoom < /span>Trainer: Bil ly Claywell - Billy W. Claywell, LMSW has been in the human servic e field since 1988. He has worked as an in-home service provider, superviso r of a family preservation project, administrator of a family and children’ s program, grant writer, and is currently the Clinical Director for Corinth ian House and provides therapy for their residents.Registration will begin at 8:30 AM. Training will start pr omptly at 9:00 AM. This training is scheduled until 12pm.
Please note: Priority seating is provided to staff working within o ne of the current DHS child welfare service contracts, including: Family Ce ntered Services (FCS); Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) / Gro up Foster Care; Child Welfare Emergency Services (CWES): Aftercare Services ; Supervised Apartment Living (SAL); Recruitment, Retention, Training and S upport Services (RRTS); Parent Partners; Foster Care Youth Council. If you do not w ork within one of the current DHS child welfare services contract, you may be bumped from the course and placed on a wait list.
