In this training, participants will be able to identify signs and symptoms of substance use in youth and how to respond appropriately if they are suspected to be under the influence. Participants will learn how to create safe, substance free environments including bedrooms and/or facilities. This entails understanding the importance of setting clear expectations and boundaries while implementing preventative measures.

Savanah Strahan- Savanah Strahan has worked in the Substance Use Prevention field for 3 years. She graduated with her Bachelor's of Science, in Public Health Education with a focus in substance use disorders, from Central Michigan University. Savanah is currently a Lead Specialized Prevention Services Coordinator at YSS and the Youth Coordinator for AC4C. She is passionate about educating others so that they make healthier decisions and be substance free.

 Registration will begin at 8:30AM. Training will begin promptly at 9AM. This training is scheduled until 11AM.
