Kristie Oliver, Executive Director 

Kristie Oliver, Executive Director

Kristie Oliver has served as the Executive Director of the Coalition for Family & Children's Services in Iowa since March of 2009.  As Executive Director, she serves as the chief executive of the Coalition with administrative and executive responsibility for all the Coalition's affairs, activities, and programs.  Kristie has worked in the health care field (senior living to child and family services) for much of her professional career.  As a licensed attorney, Kristie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and a Juris Doctorate from Drake University. 

Her professional career includes serving as government relations liaison, lobbyist and staff attorney with the Iowa Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (now Leading Age Iowa), Compliance Coordinator for Life Care Services and Assistant State's Attorney fro Rock Island County, IL.  

Kristie is a native Iowan who enjoys meeting new people, reading, the Iowa seasons, the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with family, especially her husband and two dogs.  

Kelli Soyer, MSW, LMSW, Associate Director

Kelli Soyer joined the Coalition for Family & Children's Services in Iowa in September 2018.  Kelli has spent the majority of her career working for non-profit organizations in Central Iowa and maintains a passion for child advocacy.  She earned her B. A. in Psychology and Masters in Social Work from the University of Iowa.  Kelli is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) in Iowa.  

As a Policy Associate for the Child & Family Policy Center, Kelli engaged in legislative advocacy and policy administration.  For a number of years, she served as the Executive Director of the National Association of Social Workers, Iowa Chapter, providing administrative oversight, advocacy, and management of the association.  Kelli has also engaged in electoral advocacy with Every Child Matters and fund development for the Iowa State University Foundation.  

Kelli is a native Iowan who enjoys spending time with family, including her husband and daughter, taking her dog on a walk, camping and finding new ways to keep busy.  


Tonya Nore, Administrative Assistant 

Tonya Nore joined the Coalition for Family & Children’s Services in Iowa in March 2020.  She finds great satisfaction in working with non-profit organizations and is excited to be a part of the Coalition for that reason alone.  She joined the Coalition in hopes that through her professional and personal life experiences, she will be able to contribute to the empowerment for the children and families of Iowa.

Tonya received an Associate of Arts degree from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa and plans to further that education in the future.  For most of her professional roles, she has spent many years working directly with the public in a customer/client service capacity which she has thoroughly enjoyed.  For Tonya, boundless pleasure is found in helping people in a way that will truly make a difference in their life.  Some of the places she has enjoyed helping make a difference are at Broadlawns Medical Center, Youth Homes of Mid-America, YWCA and Menards, Inc.

Tonya was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras but has lived in Iowa a majority of her life.  She enjoys fishing, reading, traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends, especially going to the movies with her daughter.
